Cambodia: Health Equity Fund Brings Medical Care to the Poor

A visit to Battambang Provincial Referral Hospital in Cambodia shows examples of how Health Equity Fund schemes supported by the World Bank's Health Sector Support Program are covering approximately 2.75 million poor people. At this hospital, the number of poor people who come to avail of health services has doubled. HEF pays for the bill for each patients treatment fee, meals, transport, and other additional costs.
